Late last month Rudd dropped his third single from the new album, ‘Ball and Chain’, a collaboration with Indigenous rapper J-MILLA. Addressing Australia’s own history with Aboriginal peoples and culture, the song has been hailed as “… the protest song we need right now, and a solid reminder of what great music is all about – challenging the status quo,” by Double J on its Best New Music. Previous ‘Jan Juc Moon’ singles ‘Stoney Creek’ and ‘We Deserve To Dream’ have already accrued 12 million streams globally, while Rudd’s forthcoming international tour has already seen shows in Amsterdam, Antwerp and Brussels sell out.
